Alumna Joanna Bratten revisits some earlier remarks of the editor regarding the authorship controversy surrounding Shakespeare's works. She argues that the identity as well as the sexual orientation of the author are largely irrelevant to our appreciation of his art.

Alumnus Kevin Schmiesing compliments Regina Schmiedicke for bringing up some valuable points in an article criticizing the labor practices of many Catholic apostolates, but nevertheless finds certain weaknesses in her presentation, including a too-simplistic reading of Catholic social teaching.

Economics professor Michael Welker likewise criticizes Schmiedicke's article for inadequate research and too-easy conclusions. He also criticizes her implicit distributist economic philosophy.

MA student Peter Cole points out, in response to Regina Doman Schmiedicke's article on unjust labor practices in Catholic apostolates, that there are some essential differences between a charitable organizations and for-profit companies. He argues that we should not demand that the former have all the advantages of the latter.
